Poem -

Do You

"Do you hear what I hear
nothing but the silence?"
"Do you see what I see
nothing but the darkness?"
"Do you taste what I taste
nothing but the taste of fear?"

I am silent to this world
which I must live
Living like a lost child
with no site
I am like a ghost that is
bounded to this world
Why do I have to have faith
lay judgement upon me?

The darkness around me
clouds my mind
For the hatred in me turns
my heart cold and black
The time will come when my
soul shall be set free
Not having to be judged in
the world I live

I could feel the fear clutching
tighten around this heart
For the sand of time is about
to come to end
I offer my hand to death to
guide my soul home
So death can claim his prize
that was long past due

"So do you hear what I hear
nothing but the silence?"
