Dog’s are a man’s best friend🐆

Running around in circles, so back where he once already started
She watched her pet puppy dog chase his long tail and that made her warmhearted
Yet some said that this old spinster spent her years seeming so callously cold
Living all alone from the day her parents passed over, until she was geriatric and old
She had always frowned upon any friendship from her nearby neighbours
Each and every one of them grew tired of offering their kind services, for their gesturally labours
Like when they offered to take her shopping to the local superstore
She turned around rather abruptly, telling them not to bother her anymore
Or when the boy across her street said he could easily cut her front garden grass
Yet in a moment of madness, she snarled at this poor, pleasant lad sounding so cruelly crass
Mind you she was her very own worst enemy, and never meant to sound so sharp
And she had so many times regretted these things, feeling sorry for herself, plucking on the strings of her harp
But just by chance she had gained a canine companion, a chocolate coloured, playful puppy Labrador
After she took pity on his plight, looking ever so lonely sat yelping on the nearby animal shelter floor
And yes it is very true what they say about dogs being a man’s best friend
Coz til the day of her demise, through thick and thin, the two of them loved each other, until the very bitter end…
