Poem -
Dogs Have Feelings
My wife has
made me
aware of this
everyday since
the four legged
children have
invaded our lives
Feelings
Feelings
Don't do that!
They have FEELINGS
So I now
Cannot claim
my blanket
when
I am cold
at night
Cannot walk one
mutt
at a time
If there is
one bone
use
a chain
saw
cause
someone's
feelings
may be
hurt
Geez
Feelings
Feelings
Feelings
I have
to declare
Sometimes FEELINGS
gets on my
nerves
I have to confess
though
when I am alone
in the house
and
I am about
to scarf
down
a big
sandwich
those
little sad weepy
eyes
glare
at me
causing
my wife's voice
to sound off
in my
head
driving me
to give up
half of my
sandwich
over
FEELINGS ....

Hahaha...I know the feeling I get when those pleading eyes burn into whatever it is that I am eating. And yes half of it does get tossed to the dog who catches it mid flight and swallows it in one gulp. The food never even touches the sides. He licks his lips as if to say, mmmm that was nice! What a liar! There is no way on the world he knew he just ate let alone tasted. I know this for a fact because when I give him his deworming tablets I just say - mmm, what's this this Oscar? And I throw him one. He catches it mid flight and gulps it down...and yes, he licks his lips...mmmm, that was nice. Liar.
Seriously though... dogs DO have feelings and they do suffer from jealousy too. I adore my dog...as you do yours... I dont know what I'd do without him x
