DOMESTIC ABUSE ?

Tried talking to my parents,friends and the vicar
How I wish I had done something quicker 
For he berates me every night for no reason 
Doesn't matter to him what day or what season 

I don't provoke him and he never listens to me 
I shake my head and wonder why this should be
My kids are upstairs crying in their beds 
They too must be shaking their little heads

Is this what they mean by domestic abuse ?
He has no reason to do this or have any excuse
Time I took a stand and I should walk out the door 
For he is not the man I knew twenty years before
