Don't let yourself get too lost. don't let yourself feel.
Don't let yourself remember things like his nervous smile or the smell of his experience.
Don't let yourself trip and don't let yourself expect anything.
don't let yourself feel too disappointed when your face gives you away and he utters the words don't.Â

Elisa…I really like the way you've expressed your emotions in this write.  It is very unique.  This poem (to me) details the personality of someone who is determined to distance himself to ensure his safety from feeling too deeply…and the word "don't" marks the listener as his victim.  Well done.
