Don't Give me Flowers

I tip toe on the fragility of life
watching every traverse and every line,
scream and call
to the fragility of the soul
--as glass that shatters and falls.
Every turn I make I try to understand
If I am going the right way
or what kind of path I take.
I keep tip toeing on life and soul,
and I walk alone this road of cloud and mud.
Don’t give me flowers,Â
this journey is mine to take.
If I push the clouds and clear the grit,
open the path and plant the seeds,
I have earned a gardenÂ
of mine.Â

Life is full of choices .. of that I have absolutely no doubt .. and with those choices, there is always an element of risk .. and whilst I sense a certain uncertainty here, there is also a feeling of determination to press onwards, or forward .. NevilleÂ
