Don't Know Why

Don't Know Why

Don't know
why
i write

maybe
to enslave
the demons
in me
or
quite
the
nightmares
that
oppress
me

Don't know
why
the
audience
decides
to read
my
paltry
words

I am beginning
to
think
the
great self proclaim Bard
is
just
a mirage
within
the
finger tips

Though
The Ego
can
be the
toughest
critic
It is also
the
enabler

I am a confessionalist
who strives
to create
Monet's imagery
in spoken
verse

An originalist
I am not
sure

a Lennon
or a Dylan
in poetic
form
I wish

Perhaps
I am
just a
wanna be

Trying the
best
I can

Over Confidence
never
hurt
anyone
when
creating
art
from
the poet's
pen.....
