Don´t Leave

As the haunting words slipped,
From her cracked crimson red lips,
A silent scream, but a roaring whisper,
An awoken dream, there will be no tomorrow.

The roseary haning lifeless in her hand,
Her eyes staring cold as ice,
The knife that pierced her chest as did mine,
Lay bloody on the carpet, alongside my heart.

The words echo as if she had screamed in church,
One single tear leaves my eye although there waits thousands,
And that once great scent of her perfume leaves my nostrels,
As she turns and walks out the old wood door.
