Dont Leave At Night
My doors are unlocked
For each and every day
And locked to take stock
To feed lovers as we lay
Days are given to hard work
That dreams can fortress our night
But choice knows to lurk
Keeping hid, and out of sight
Love is no prison
Nor holds in chains any free
Freedom's a person
Who can freely live with me
One about yea high
One of the opposite sex
One who caught my eye
A fence to all that would wax
Baby should you leave
With your thoughts of no return
Let night be our cleave
Sun rise can be my concern
Just don't leave at night
Not as err our day be done
Your leaving is right
For freedom you have won
Only give me time
To have my answer for day
Letting go whats mine
Borrowing, that I may pay

Hey Mr. Jones, I can totally relate to this write.........not wanting them to leave.......torn between what you know is right and what you REALLY want.........tough situation.......there's a great quote; "When you love somebody, Set them free.."........if they come back, you know they really love you.........great write, great subject matter my friend...........well done.........tony xx
Thank you so much Tony...indeed...we just need that extra time to breath enough to let go...for love is not force...nor indeed can me...letting go is more apart of love then most people can know...and only we who love completely understand this to be so...and you are right...if they come back...but the sad reality is what they come back to has grown since then...and if they too have not grown...the fit can never be the same...anyway...didnt want to say too much...hehehhe...started out saying thanks...ended up with much more...THANK YOU TONY 'T'...nj
