lives torn - bullets worn
bravo on display - for their country they say
family left behind - to soothe government mind
fight for their cause - end up dead and lost
buried in graves - what life couldn't save
men of all lands - brainwashed by the higher hand
wanting to own - high powers throne
greed for the land - no sharing is man
kill in their way - for the children we pray
shot down or abused - leave young growing confused
war and the gun - no use to no one 
young see it a thrill - a licence to kill
vicious circle when born - life's evil is worn
war is the beast - dead is his feast
fight with your mind - leave war behind
put down your gun - let the beast have no fun
centuries have past - pen for peace that will last
keep writing your words - hope and peace will be heard
a mother needs her son - more than war needs his gun !
