Don't listen to dreams

We don't listen to us.
I don't listen to me.
Thoughts that they don't hear.
Hopes that none will see.
Dreams they say we share.
Deep down we know won't be.
Yesteryear's too far away.
Today's too close to bare.
We could all perfect tomorrow.
Should we try when they don't care?
