Don't Mention Addiction

Sins call her out by name
She hears nothing anymore
The walls she built fell down
As she fell to the floor and cried
She kills herself everyday
Time stands still
She goes farther and farther away from us
She is homeless on the streets
She's lost all faith in happiness
She wishes on the pills
The fight in finally over
The angel dust carries her away

Mives!  You have hit the point in the write "dead tap center"!  Addiction can certainly be a driving force to death.  This kind of "terror" hunts every weakness, every happiness, every good intention and hope for better days.  By the time it takes you there is no "fight" it is surrender and truly an awful tragedy.  Excellent write!
