Don’t shed a tear

Don’t shed a tear

Don’t shed a tear

Let me get a few things straight,
When it’s my time to go.
I want you all to listen hard,
Sit back, enjoy the show.

Not sure how we met,
But I bet we had good times.
Don’t be sad for me this day,
You know am doing fine.

I hope I made you laugh,
Shared the funny side of life,
I hope I got to meet your girl,
Claire’s my darling wife.

I lived life to the full,
Put my trust and faith in you.
You never ever let me down,
We all know this is true.

You made my life complete,
I know I got it right.
Making you a part of me,
Turned darkness into light.

This I not good bye my friend,
I’ll wait on the other side.
Thank you for the memories,
My life was such a ride.

Hi again Georgina,

You know when you've never physically met a person, but you can tell instantly that they are nice. I feel that about you. I haven't read your work yet but I am guessing you are honest, positive and make the world a better place by just being in it. Thats a great way to be.

With this write I had a run of funerals and each time felt sad for the way we process the loss. I think we have it all mixed up and should sing, laugh and cry about all the good things. Of course, we are sad at the loss. The person who dies in this write is me. This is how I want everyone to feel. I don't fear death, I would rather use it as motivation to live my life to full. Again, it makes me smile to know you liked it.
