Poem -

Down the Drain

All my luck has been poured down the drain
All my hope has been washed away by the rain
I traded in all of my strength for a bit of pain
Now victory is something too hard to gain

I dropped my promise ring down the drain
Now my boy is gonna leave me in the rain
But I rather take that instead of physical pain
Now love has become way too hard to gain

I pushed my life off of the edge
I'm making it easier to forget
'Cause I don't want to try harder
And I don't want to go farther

There have been days that were never mine
And nothing has ever worked out in time
I know you have had days that were never yours
And nothing worked out when it should've before

So I pushed my brain down the drain
Down the drain, it is all the same
