DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS

DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS

Arrr you mateys ready to go
down to the sea in ships
So we can sail out to sea
The sun will shine and sky
will be clear the ocean
will be blue and the wind
will be at are face while we
find a new place in the world
At night the moon will be full
and the stars will shine bright
And when we land in the new
place those who get three
sheest to the wind will be called
the son of biscuit eater then you may
walk the plank mate so Avast ye so
are ready to go down to the sea in ships
with me mates lets go

Incredible! I'm reading a lot of wonderful poetry this morning. Your poem reminds me of a pirate story I heard when I was young. How the seas swallowed up men at sea, on fishing boats and other cargo ships. I could smell the ocean water, I could see the vivid evening sunset as the water became full of nocturnal animals in the sea, to spring to life through your poetry.
