Poem -

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

You wonder why I’m so confused?

It’s been my mind that you abuse.

Mixing the signals about every hour,

trapping me within your power.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,

Give me credit for I have tried.

But you can’t see this, you are blind!

Drugs are the problem; they’ve poisoned your mind!

You try to blame it all on me,

‘cause you’re not facing reality.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,

Give me credit for I have tried.

Now I must start to live my own way,

Begin to get stronger, with each passing day.

I can’t look back, it hurts too much.

With reality, you’ve lost all touch!

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,

Give me credit for I have tried.

No longer will I live like this,

My Geoffrey is gone, replaced by “Piss” (was his true nick-name).

Like a demon, straight from hell,

Falling deeper into the “spell”.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,

Give me credit for I have tried.

It finally hit me, it’s not okay,

That is why I cannot stay.

Your mood may change, but that doesn’t matter,

Won’t let you see my feelings shatter.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,

Give me credit for I have tried.

So go ahead and play your game,

Things will always be the same.

I can’t play this, not anymore,

There’s nothing left, worth fighting for!

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,

Give me credit for I have tried.
