Dracula's Eyes

Once You Called Me

Dracula's Eyes

I have cried a sober tear
Dreams have taken over
Operas bleed lost fantasiesĀ
Surreptitiously and with self love

For I have loved myself too much
I have killed myself too much
So enraged is heaven's justiceĀ
Calling on sacrificial night

You cursed me and I did not protestĀ
You called me a vampireĀ
You said that I killed
the virus that has plagued the worldĀ

Knowing that I have killed love
When it quieted its thunder
When your face was heaven
And you looked in my eyes....
seeing me become...
the prince of Romania.
