Dragon

Dragon

Black prince of the untamed flame,
Spawn of hell, legend by name.
Pure majesty in presence, in excellence the same.

Beast of the skies, it soars before all eyes.
Elegant and swift, no remorse before shrift.
It swoons on villagers below,
Breath exhaled raining hell in glow.

Roaring flame cast down consuming, exhuming in debris.
Smoke engulfs all, destroyed, ce la vie!

Wingspan eclipses the sun,
Gliding and scouring, destroying all who run.
Sharpened scales and tail it finds exuberance,
Falling flame and chaotic influence.

Sat upon the mountainside,
Powerful and somehow dignified,
Blackened heart and eyes,
Majestic king of the skies.
