DRAGONHEART

She showed to me the majesty
Of her kingdom far and wide
The beauty of Welsh mountains
The valley dips and slides

It was dragons voice that sang to me
A haunting ancient song
Telling of proud history
And of my people
Brave and strong

She spoke in tongues of mystery
Welsh language nearly lost
Told me I must learn these words
Must preserve them at all cost

I am grown up now
I passed the test
And on dragon wings
I flew the nest

But I remember where
My seed did start
And on my Welsh bed
I left my heart
For
I am Welsh
Cymru am byth.
