DRAWING EYEBROWS ON FORGOTTEN SAINTS

Spent so long drawing eyebrows on
ive forgotten which saints face is with me today
carved a pleasant place inside my mind
a place you will never blind
we lined up all the old tattoos
shot them dead against a wooden sea
stranger from the hanging shadow
counting the lips i drag behind the limping past
hats arrive inside there heads
feathers fly on wind long dead

ready now for me to goe
bone and sorrow the jewellery now
reflections in a service bow

running children chase the black car
rough roads gather in crowds
a stick of tender wood
beaten down upon the adulthood

vicious in revengeĀ
silver ghosts drunk on corner stops

lay next to meĀ
i made this bed several years ago
the sheets are made of nothing gained
pillows frozen in an arctic sea
come and hold the body i unfold
let us wait in lovers grace
Ā see the eyebrows that i drew
took longer than we thought
Ā
