Poem -

Drawn Out Of The Box

I have my own space,
So why do you want mine?

The object is to pull me from my happy place,
A challenge you'll take until I say "Not This Time!"

Keep my cool and my head,
Don't let her see me break.

For her confidence to be fed,
Giving way a route to take.

Converting fighting into a game no one wins,
Glass housed people throwing rocks.

Do you feel better getting under my skin?
Drawing me out of my box.

Words play their part,
Players slowly come to learn.

Things said not meant can break our hearts,
How does it feel when the tables turn?

I plant my feet firm within the walls designed,
With intentions of drawing you out of your box.

The anger building i'm in your mind,
So easily drawn out it kind of shocks.

A guilty feel that i've gotten to you,
I'd rather celebrate than tell a lie.

But after all this battling we put each other through,
I'll settle for your love and a tie.
