I saw you in a dream
You weren't cold or repellent
You were warm and affectionate
You were a part of my soul

But I was perfect in my dream
Unerring, flawless and wondrous
And you were the same in my dream
Alive and spirited

I was safe in my dream
It was essential and absolute
There was no fear in my dream
No evil to cause diffidence

We were allied in my dream
Enraptured and at peace
We were serene and contented
We were carefree and animate

But that was a dream
Thrust into a world named true
It came to me as a dream
It vanished with my sunshine and you!
