Dreaming of images of you

Dreaming of images of you

Dream of a perfect world, calm and beautiful together we will be

I dream of collections of beautiful images
that move in colour as I sleep
Like photographs collected in an embroidered cloth handkerchief
Wrapped and hidden,
forgotten messages
Memories of dancing like fireflies in the rain
Memories of us singing on a beautiful steam train
A paper bag of rainbow coloured sweets
The train had such Beautiful embroidered seats

I see clouds that form rays of beautiful coloured lights
Softly they fade away to bring moving images to life
Reminiscent of old projected images
on a white washed wall
Bringing me closer to my vision
of a beautiful calm comforting place for all
Memories of us lighting the Christmas tree
Memories of you helping me see…
All the reasons why people liked me
You were part of those moving images of happiness
Elevated joy that stops the feeling of sadness
and then as I sink deeper into sleep
where deeper in my soul...
I fall again
and again
and again...
   into
        a
            well of loneliness

Memories are recollections
Good or bad, happy or sad
But they're only glimpses
Of what once you had

Thank you for your thoughts
