Dreaming of Surreal

Dreaming of Surreal

I was awoken from a deep sleep lying in my bed,
My dreams were still real,
Thoughts dancing through my head.

Sweat poured from my brow,
I was aching in my bones,
Reality escaped me,
Weird imagery in flow.

Old familiar scent rekindled Deja vu,
My take on things elusive as panic was in grow.
Was I in my minds eye or was this surreal of dawn?
Confused and somehow bruised and yet somehow, I did yawn!

Adrenalin took over pumping through my veins,
Scratching, clawing, exploiting, driving me insane.
Was there something watching me in the corner of abode?
I took the cover and hid my head fearing in alone.

Thank you so much.Β  I always promised myself that if I received a decent audience then I would produce a manuscript.
