Dreams
When i was little, i dreamed of magic and far away
princes and princesses with dragons soaring
in the sky.
i wanted to be the princess, finding a handsome princeÂ
to take me away
on an adventure of happiness and true love.
Then I grew up, and I wanted magic
to be real
to cast spells
and create beauty
for those who somehow found
their happily ever after.
Now I am the dragon.
Angry.
Greedy.
Filled to the brim with bitterness
I wish wasn’t my own

Work on your freestyle, but I did like the end "Filled to the brim with bitterness I wish wasn't my own"

Hey, Meg.
Dreams are just that...dreams.
There's nothing wrong with having dreams and setting goals for yourself. After all, it's the only way we get anything accomplished in life.
In order to make your dreams come true you've gotta be willing to invest your time, blood, sweat and tears into them to make them a reality.
Nothing's going to be handed to you on a silver platter—unless you're Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashean, or one of Donald Trump's kids, of course.
The key is perseverance and never giving up.
It's never too late.
Warmest wishes and best of luck.

Thanks! I wrote this when I was talking to my younger sister (who is in third grade) and her friends and I realized just how different we think, and I was reminded of how I was when I was her age. When I was little I was always wishing I was a fairy princess or a mermaid, but then as I got older and reality hit I learned that magic and fantasies weren't real, and that real life was harsh and unforgiving.
This poem is basically a way to show the shift from being like Spongebob to Squidward
