Dreams Are Wishes From The Heart

Inspired by the song “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella

If dreams were really wishes, that came straight from in the heart;
I would close my eyes and have one, that you never had to part!
I would wake up, and you’d be back with me, laying by my side;
And these tears that had been falling, I would no longer need to cry!

I would hold you close and love you, I would never let you go;
We would play and frolic all day long, in the Sun’s eternal glow!
At night, while we all were sleeping, I would hear your little snores;
And instead of just me and Mommy, again we would be four!
.
In the morning, I would gently wake you, we would go for our first walk;
Traveling over hills and dales, about your business would we talk!
Once home, I’d make your breakfast, and watch you chow it down;
Then I’d turn on our New Age music, and we’d meditate to its sounds!

But now, I have just woken, from this dream I’ve had of you;
And the wishes that my heart made, as usual, have not come true!
I am laying here in loneliness, my arms now empty once again;
It was all just another vision, this time together spent!
