DREAMS DIE HARD IN HERE

The place has been open just over a year
Remember this as dreams die hard in here
Stories are told over whisky and cold beerĀ
The long bar is where dreams die hard in hereĀ

So many things are told to the barman Joe
He tells me about the dreams that come and go
Most are told by middle aged desperate menĀ
Usually at eleven o'clock the dreams start againĀ

Joe listens is the guy interested I'm not so sureĀ
The teller of the dreams feels so safe and secure
It's two o'clock and Joe now calls it a nightĀ
No more dreams dying hard until morning light
