Driving Some Away

 Odours from the site and lorries  venting fumes,could  be inhaled both night and day
Businesses that are building,in our small town,could be driven away
 Residents may struggle to sell their homes,because local housing prices might crash
These are just the tip of the negativities that could be building,in a possible residential backlash 
The company says it would produce enough spark,to power nearly 50,000 homes
 What a waste of money,it would be,if most of the residents have gone
A 180ft chimney to be built,to tower above our town
 To maybe blow emissions a little further,spread the smell around
Why would you want such a monstrosity,in what could be a model town
 There'd be nowt to show off,businesses gone and nearly no bugger around
