Poem -

Drowning

I lost myself
Trying to help you find yours
And look at you now
Walking on dry land
Dressed in gold
Laughing and singing and dancing
And look at me now
Drowning
Crying in a bathtub
Who am I
And how did I get here
I used myself
To lift you up
But pushed myself down in the process
A lost identity
Gasping for air
While spending day in and day out pretending
Like it isn't painful
To sleepĀ
To eat
To live
Now that you're living among the clouds
How can I bring myself to the surface?
I'm ready for the air to fill my lungs
So I can find myself
