Drowning in Hate

Drowning in Hate

The water surrounds all that the eye can see
It fills up her lungs denying her to breathe
It drags, it pulls to the darkest ugly depths
It hypnotises, it convinces that what is here should of left
The deep sea demons circle, taunt and creep
She beckons them to consume her and to leave her be
A heavy weight rests upon her chestĀ
An everlasting pressure that her soul be put to rest
This weight, this burden is all too much to endureĀ
What can she withstand while her days rank fewer
Finally a light, an angel is finally cast down
She takes its hand, today she is not going to drown
When finally she is imbedded in happiness and care
Her deep dark secret reminds her it's still there
When all the horrors are brought back to the surface
She relives those moments and finds her life has no purpose
Can she survive in this darkening den
Or will she forever have to feel this torture
Over and over again
