Due Process Fled

Due Process Fled

Due Process fled from innocence
The day no one can ever recall,
A Judge, corrupt looks away
Now everyone is behind the eight-ball

The States must respect all of its people
Thus balance the power from the laws,
Allegedly protecting each and everyone of us
Now Due Process seems to be a lost cause

Courtrooms full of legal simpletons
The Judge is included as well,
He doesn’t really give  two shits
When your case gets shot to Hell

Sitting on the bench and reclining
The Judge twiddles his thumbs,
The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments
Really mean nothing to these bums

Balance that power Due Process
For the sake of dignity of those involved,
Who need you now so desperately
When laws and truth long to be solved
