Dwindled Memory

Dwindled Memory

My memories of you was my greatest treasure
Each moment was like a star,
Priceless and beautiful
And the only thing that keeps me going

But I felt this star, dwindled
Now the treasure was replaced with pains
And the smiles became sorrow
And the memories became nightmares

Will there still be left?
Of the memories that slowly faded away
Or will I totally forget about you.
Until I sleep peacefully at night.

Hello, there is a powerful sense of bitterness in this write. Something many can relate to in the journey of grief. When something once treasured as a happy memory, becomes bitter and too painful to think on. Well written, and I am sorry for your pain
