Dying Love

Dying Love

Is love what we are?

What lovers we were.

You happened to me.

You went as deep as I’d ever been.

You were inside me like my pulse.

You made me complete, you perfected me.

You encouraged me to hold on.

You gave me the strength to open up my heart to you.

All that my heart knew became you.

It was as if my world were new, I learned to live again.

Having your lips against mine built something back, it was beautiful.

Each of us wanted the other.

I gave you all I had and then some, it wasn’t enough to keep you mine.

At a certain point I lost track of you.

We gazed into eachother’s eyes as if we were alone.

At one point it was though “I love you” was our universal language.

I know even the stars wear out, but our love just died.

How could I not feel it hard on my heart?

It’s a short walk from Heaven to Hell, I’m in Hell.

I examine my feeling then I cry.

My heart is now in two places at once, you have the whole piece while I got the broken.

At dawn may I die as I sit with a broken heart once more?

Only in the Kingdom of Tranquility will my tears finally be wiped away.

I’m done proving myself to you.

Why go through all of this trouble for you?

When I say I miss you what I mean is I’m filled with sorrow.

I would not call you a man for you act like a boy.

Of you I don’t want any memories all they do is bring back the pain.

We won’t forget eachother though.

When I turn away from your memory I know you’re there.

My world slipped away with your leaving me.

Nothing can replace what we had,

You know how it ends.

I lost him for good.

What does it matter when or who, I knew of love?
