The Ear of Amadeus Mozart

The sun is shining in a powder blue sky
the wind moves like a timeless rhapsody
I sit beneath the shadows of a tree
and suddenly I see
Amadeus Mozart's smiling face;
frozen in elegance is his legacy
I walk over to touch his marbled skin
and speak of my longing
Heaven knows I am a proud man
But I have become a beggar now
with a soul full of tears to carry around
holding out my empty hand
for love among the strangers
But today I felt her in the promenade
and the stars hold safe her memory;
I was uninspired and barely alive
but inspiration she gave me
Now I'll be content with nothing;
if she shares with me nothing
to my path she holds the key
So I will stay awhile, endure
for the future holds no fear
and thank you Amadeus Mozart
for your attentive ear

Hey T, thanks for cool comment, yeah it is a very inspiring place, but somehow I thought poetry would just flow into my mind sitting so close to Mozart, but a few thoughts came to be sure....lol I didn't feel much in the promenade other than aching ankles; way too much walking, but the wine helped....thanks for your words my friend....cheers
Hey Cherie yes it was pretty cool they did an amazing job with the statue of Mozart, it's in a park and I sat staring at it for a while until falling asleep under a tree; it was a hot day....great composer is an understatement I suppose; the statue has a massive opera house behind it and lots of trees blowing in the wind..... so you got your artistic talents from your dad? wow, very cool...thanks for dropping by...cheers
sarcasm sarcasm.... I like your comments Lily Mae, I find mine to be a wee bit long winded, don't you? rhetorical question lol
