Eleanor

Eleanor

Eleanor, your beauty is

As magnanimous as a mountain

Shaped by the gods

On your own t'is beauty

Majestic is the mountain blue

Upon which this humble earth

Is born and dearly departed

For when you left

This earth collapsed beneath my feet

O'Eleanor, the mountains do not

Call your name no more

As the river waters weep and

Weep and weep;

I am bereft this night

Bereft this night

In dreams of love that cannot sleep

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These echoes of Eleanor sweet
In chambers of her heart so deep
