Elements of Reflection

Such marvelous love: and such death and life; and we knit a

Future; and quilt a storm; and grip a star: our palms of light;

And how to fly: our blood and soul; and torn ideals: our

Plight and weight; and evermore—to soar and strive; and

Evermore—to fall and rise; and valve to heart: our knees to

Prayer; and ghostly vibes: our bed and air; and scars and

Wings, a pleat of faith: the sky of flame: a privy grace.

We climb a cloud, a partial truth; and glib a fib—the wig of

Proof; and come to pass, a tale of lies: the death of years: the

Tears have cried; and fathom love, a need to feel: the voice

Of love: the sparks and chills; and web to soul, a smothered

Hate: a weathered pride: a saving face; and watch and live,

The vice of pain: a cruel reply: the mind of shame; and thus

The love, a painted love: a tortured heart: a seething grudge.
