Ella Wheeler Wilcox An American Poet And My Greatest Friend In Time

Ella Wheeler Wilcox An American Poet And My Greatest Friend In Time

Your style, your wit, your gifted prose,
Is so heavenly sent, it simply flows.
One hundred years since you passed away,
We love you Ella each and every day.

An enchanted legacy you've left behind,
A golden treasure for all humankind.
For old and young, for rich and poor,
For all your poems, our hearts adore.

You write with heart, you write with passion,
You write them in your own unique fashion.
Your poems of love from day's so long gone,
Your poems in Heaven's Library so truly belong.

You inspire me to write every new day,
I struggle to do it in your Wilcox way.
You're now in heaven with your  wings,
Here on earth your poetry forever sings.

Your passing with it's great tragic cost,
Your perfect prose here will never be lost.
Discovering you when just twelve years old,
A timeless treasure more valuable than gold.

Always ending on a brilliant moral note,
A unique message to quote and promote.
You dear Ella give hope and are always true.
We miss and love you Ella, we all truly do.
Sleep well Ella, sleep well.

Without this magnificent woman and poet,
I wouldn't have written a word of poetry.
Ella Wheeler Wilcox is my greatest friend in time.
