Elusive Ocean

The ocean sweeps
Like a lover's weep
And creeps with Swift solitude
Pull me out from under
Tear me asunder
As your lips become my interlude
Β
I'm coverd in a skin of pretence
I'm guilty of an overstated sense
To drive and draw you to my futuer tense
A relentless roulette has me slipping back behind...
Overwhelmed, by a fear immense
Β
In jest I mask a need to feed
And siphon off your epic grace
I fail to stand
I fall and land
Displaced and ravaged by your face
Β
A replicate of heaven's base
And now discrased, I've lost our time
All Squandered on a frantic haste
I,ve lost my line, my chance to taste
To fill my empty heart-shaped space
Β
A coward, once king
You've made me sing
and gaze at your elusive smile
An endless trial
Beneath your wings
A luminescent illusion
Like the ocean brings...
