Poem -

The Ember Is Life

"The sun can drop away so quick,
& I'm left with my cigarette,
Smoking beneath a liquid sky,
I smoke because I'm still alive.
~
I press what's left into an ashtray,
And I wanna wish it all away,
Another tear in my jeans,
Tripping over the same routine.
~
A view from a hill,
Life waters spilled,
At the foot of the hill,
Syssyphus stands still.
~
I learned in this part,
That the end is the start,
And the struggle alone,
Can fill a man's heart."- Silent John
