Haiku Of My Heart
Haiku
5/7/5
1: Emotion
I want to haul out/
From hollow mines in our hearts/
This rare ore; emotion.
2: Self
Wearing heavy coats/
Stops shivers from the cold, though/
Winter howls within.
3: Inevitable Sequence
Silence in the land/
'Till leaves strike the ground in fall/
Winter hears it's call.
4: Lack Of Spirit
Church bell chimed at noon/
I walked in calm procession/
But heard nothing new.
5: Beauty Turns Tragic
Watched bright leaves float down/
Hungry caterpillars wait/
Watched leaves fall and die.
6: Pondered Death
Wondered what death was/
'Till I sat beside sinking tombs/
Into the earth consumed.
7: Man's Construct
Lovely night-sky stars,
Shine upon man's crusted works,
Littering his earth.
8: Day's Temporal Victory
First gleam of dawn lunged,
Bravely at the night and won,
Vanquished for a while,
