Emotional scars 🥲

As her sorrowful sadness subdued sombreness whilst yon flowing teardrops stained

Smudged black mascara smeared her fair, freckled pale face

And she scrutinised that man in the moon lost in this languished, lonely place..

Twas’ only minutes ago after her lover had went away

Leaving her in the lurch left feeling utter dismay

What on earth had come over him? had she said something wrong?

That last conversation kept spiralling like a repetitive song..

So there she stood in the pale moonlight underneath those sparkling stars
