Emotionless

Emotionless

I feel blank.
No emotion has swept me through.
Like a sky colored grey, no sun, no rain.
An empty time has come to rest.
A solemn word and a long impact.
Chosen as the birds take flight, on pairless wings away from strife.
I feel numb.
No sting to the hurt.
Just a pressure of loss and words.
Stony walls create a life.
Hiding the conscious and eating the smile.
"Good bye," They crow.
"Good bye," I say.
Until we meet again, emotionless...
I stay.
