Empty Hearts

Empty hearts,
shattered rib cages,
rose bushes growing around them,
you left,
banished,
leaving me with only the memoriesof your touch.
Your love
fading away making
my heart empty,
vacant,
I said nothing for a long time,
just ran my fingertips 
along the edge of the human shaped 
emptiness that had been
left inside my heart.
My empty heart 
it is beautiful, it is endless,
it is full
and yet seems empty.
It hurts me,
hurts us,
leaving us all
with empty hearts.
