At the end...

Upon the firmament of Heavens foot
I lay me down on pastures green.
Soft subtle grassy bed
Cushions my tired head.
Heavenwards my eyes are set.
Thoughts of my final rest,
Play upon my weary mind
Seeking pleasures of heaven to find.
Through years of silent prayers
Issued up on nightly past
With no reply to if enough I spent
Or saved for Heavens rent?
What key I have, will it unlock
Or surely doom my pleasures dream?
What if heaven is a place elite
Where only a few shall dine to eat?
Heaven? What garish allure you pull
At hearts and minds so unpure
That through the gift of such perfection
We so flawed may find benefaction?
Is there truly an Eternal heaven
Where tired souls may find solace?
That by the blood of but one man
We are saved by our God's final plan?
