END OF THE STREET

END OF THE STREET

There's a new house on the block
Shiny new car, eighty thousand dollar clock
Just before the tree line, where we use to meet
Honey there's a new standard, at the end of the street

End of the street, end of the street
There's something down there, down where we use to meet
Oh so many years ago, at the end of the street

Your daddy use to yell, my mother raised us all, wasn't afraid to raise hell
It was our little get away, down there where we use to play

I'm still working on a dream, and it ain't hands free
I just go back in my head, to that simple place we use to be...at the

End of the street, end of the street
There's a dream or two
Down where we use to meet
Oh so many years ago, at the end of the street
