Poem -
ENDANGERED PENGUINS
Please tell us our lives matter...
We have predators all around...
Life isn't easy as it is...
People have killed us for their gain...
Our lives are touched by oil...
We were made into lamps and other things...
Our feathers have been stolen and they took our fat...
We have to swim in the oceans where harmful things to us and fish have been dumped and spilled...
They take our food on boats for profit or for entertainment...
We may be a little clumsy on land, but we are really good swimmers...
We don't mean any harm...
Will you help save us?
We are on a list known as endangered...

Good work Sparrowsong and timely too. I read that there is the least sea-ice ever recorded so this will affect life on the ice. So your plea via penguins asking if their lives matter poses a very important question. Good awareness Sparrowsong.

Have you seen the numbers of how many have been killed for profit?
The food that they require for survival has been stolen for profit?
It outweighs by far the melting of the ice...

The list of endangered species is quite long I'm afraid and the reasons why is very self explanatory...
They're at high risk around the world...
Very very close to extinction in Africa...
It's really sad for sure...
