Ending Scene.

You don't know how it hurts:
to watch her cry
to see love die
to see you leave
to watch her grieve
You don't know how it hurts:
when you walk away
when she begs you to stay
when she asks why?
when I have no reply
You don't know how it hurts:
for her to try and mend what is broken
for her to forget your words, spoken
for her to question thine will from above
for her children to think this is love

There is an elegant simplicity to your work which thinly veils a deeper complexity of thought and feeling; something which is more than apparent in the present offering.
I especially love this (above-quoted) line from the final stanza...absolutely devastating!!
A joy to read..as always.
