Small ending

I Tore a million stars from the miles in my eyes 
nailed them with steel splinter tears
to the hasty crowds rushing by
Wrote in the pencil with ashes from my grave
upon the sweating wall of sanctuary 
Collected the earthquake tremors 
so I could start to sing
scented birds handed feathers as I climbed over a distant visit from a friend 
Wrapped in ribbons and blisters
this cracked man in mirrors shaking claw
remembered creased forget me knots
spread along a vanishing wooden floor 
Ques of priestly killers
wait for the sun
Me I’m just

Forgiven I heard in the whisper
breathed from a gun
