Poem -

The Enemy Of My Enemy Is My Friend

Death by far is my greatest enemy

Its greasy hands the grave my undoing

Mocking my hope, with despair or regret

Its signs and symbols of aging no miss

Always calculating yesterday's score

Never satisfied with all its tokens

Until death laid hands on Life and then failed

The Devil stands next in line to be sure

His greasy hands the World my undoing

Mocking my hope, with despair and regret

His signs and symbols are never amiss

Always calculating yesterday's score

Never satisfied with all his tokens

Alas death lays hold on him without fail
