ENGRAVED IN MY HEART

ENGRAVED IN MY HEART

In the still of the night, my love did depart
Leaving me shattered, with a heavy heart
Her laughter no longer echoes in my ear
Gone is the one I held so dear

I cry out in anguish, sorrow, and pain
Wishing I could hold her once again
But death has claimed her, taken her away
Leaving me alone to mourn and pray

How devastating the hand of fate can be
To steal my love so suddenly
I'll cherish the memories we once shared
And keep her spirit alive,
though she's no longer here

In the darkness, I find solace and peace
Knowing her love for me will never cease
Although she's gone, our bond will never sever
For love transcends even death forever.
